5 members of TZdY participated in this game:
1. Is there an anime that you’ve never finished, but you still hope to one day?
Mai88: I started quite a few shows but I lost hope that I’ll finish them anytime. But maybe Steel Angel Kurumi 2.
Rat: Too many, Strawberry Panic, Maria Holic, New Game… just picking one would be hard.
Altair: Definitely Negima! Still haven’t got to that final movie.
A916: Cowboy Bebop. Though probably not for a while, it’ll be like reaching the end of Firefly all over again.
Arara: Izetta: the Last Witch. The generals and politicians were too pompous and stuffy for a 1-season show, so ep 3 bored me to death.
2. Have you ever cried while watching anime? If so, which anime was it?
Mai88: I usually don’t get emotional when watching/reading, but I remember Clannad After Story hit me really hard.
Rat: No, but I’ve cried with plenty of yuri mangas.
Altair: Madoka. The anime. Every time. Almost the whole end sequence starting with Madoka becoming a Magical Girl.
A916: The last episode of Angel Beats.
Arara: Air, Clannad After Story, and MadoMagi. Seto no Hanayome made me laugh with tears.
3. Everybody seems to have guilty pleasures, shows they might not want to admit that they like. Do you have one?
Mai88: Playing games primarily targeted at male audience…maybe?
Rat: I don’t think I have one because usually I’m very upfront with what I like and what I don’t.
Altair: The 4chan World Cup. But it’s more of a guilty/not-guilty pleasure. And wholeheartedly supporting /u/. And trying to get everyone I know to watch The Cup.
A916: Very guilty, being in a yuri scanlation group and all, but Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu.
Arara: Queen’s Blade. The premise was ridiculous.
4. What’s the best song that you’ve heard this year?
Mai88: Birth of a Wish from the Nier Automata OST. But my favorites change a lot so it’s hard to say.
Rat: From Miracle Of Sound either “Force Of Nature” or “Clockworks”.
Altair: Either The National Anthem or There There by Radiohead, live at Kansas City.
A916: Hitorigoro by Claris.
Arara: CHICO with Honeyworks: Pride Kakumei
5. Do you have a nickname, and if so, how did you get it?
Mai88: IRL it’s “Linda”. I had a coke bottle named Linda during our class trip, my friends started to called me Linda from that moment on to tease me…As for my web name, I guess I was too lazy to think of one, so I just took one of my prenames.
Rat: Rat, so the thing I go with, originally it was “Sweetest Bag O’ Rats”, but after talking with YuriReviews it turned into “Rattig” and “Ratbag” and little by little moved its way to be just Rat.
Altair: Nope, just Altair. My name yuri handle named after a star in the summer triangle.
A916: Not really, just A916. It’s from an old gamer tag I used to use.
Arara: Arara, from online gaming days.
6. What blogging-related thing are you most proud of?
Mai88: Not quite blogging, but it’s scanlation. To be honest, I’ve never expected to be part of the scanlation scene before. I always looked up to scanlators in my childhood and were really grateful to them, but at some point I got the opportunity to fulfill this dream. A huge thank goes to my team that supports me with all they can!
Rat: Meeting Mai, idk.
Altair: Our Valentine’s Day releases. We really killed ’em!
A916: I’ve only just joined the world of scanlation recently, so I guess for now I’m most proud of being able to give back to the community.
Arara: All the translations I’ve done for various scanlation groups.
7. What are your pet peeves?
Mai88: Arrogant people. Also waking me up in the morning when I’m still asleep.
Rat: Well I find people who think and act like they know everything extremely annoying.
Altair: Impatient people.
A916: When people stand on both sides of the escalator, I mean come on some people actually want to get places a little faster you know, is it that hard to just all keep to one side (end of rant).
Arara: Wishy-Washy indecisions. Games that use RNG to bloat playtime.
8. When you’re finished blogging, what do you want to be remembered for?
Mai88: For spaming the yuri community with great mangas.
Rat: Well I would like the group to remember me and still keep in touch :P But well, I don’t really care for leaving any mark or anything.
Altair: My hand in bringing socialism to local town politics.
A916: Making stuff that’s readable lol.
Arara: Bringing the word ‘Callipygian’ into general use. It’ll happen!
9. If you had a personal theme song that played wherever you go, what would it be?
Mai88: I’ll gladly take 桜.夜.月 or Primum Mobile by himmel.
Rat: Arch Enemy – You Will Know My Name OR The Rumjacks – Blows And Unkind Words
Altair: It’s definitely been the Carnival Theme from Lunar 2 lately. Otherwise, it’s the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles OST. Or FF13. Come back to me on this one.
A916: The Family Mart jingle with the drums from “X Gon Give it to Ya” overlaid.
Arara: Sawano Hiroyuki’s Blue Dragon. I liked all the versions.
10. What was the last movie you watched? How was it?
Mai88: The Handmaiden. A great ride. Though Fingersmith was still better.
Rat: What did I watch :| It could be Hogfather, and well I want Susan to be lesbian… it’s also a pretty nice movie…
Altair: Your Name. Phenomenal.
A916: Hollywood’s Ghost in the Shell. Weta did a good job, as usual.
Arara: Haven’t seen a movie in a while. Last TV shows were Penny Dreadful and Luke Cage.
11. What do people think is weird about you?
Mai88: That I’m ogling at girl x girl action.
Altair: Everything? Probably the involvement with yuri, but there’s such a positive spin associated with it that it isn’t a bad thing.
A916: I like idol groups for the music and the producer, not so much (if at all) for the idols.
Arara: I usually skip small talk and pop culture topics.
